I'm also aware it doesn't 1:1 line up with the comics. Ultimate Mysterio was an android controlled by 616 Mysterio. I just thought the movie version leant itself to a similar set up, with a more knowledgeable alt universe Mysterio feeding info to another version to his advantage.
