From my collection: a discharge document and period medal ribbons of one Johann Riepl of the Royal 8th Line Infantry Regiment of the Royal Bavarian Army. This guy was one of only 4,000 bavarian Soldiers who survived the retreat from Moscow...29,000 didn’t!
