This is why it bothers me when artists get shit for lightening skin slightly in bright light. Obv actual whitewashing happens A LOT but I've seen people colour pick the tone from the original like "See yours is lighter!" eg.

Thank you so much. I was showing my son the feet earlier. Up close they’re just a scribble. It’s all about light. I’m not as good at landscapes but up close I seem to be able to proces it better.
