This is one of my favorite creations yet. It’s essentially a digital portrait. I spent 2 days on this, it was a challenge and I used multiple methods to get the result such as wax/charcoal brushes soft brushes textures etc. I’m proud of the result.

Laid down basic textures today. Still needs more tinkering - weathering, some narrow windows up the tower, grass at the base... I'd also like a base tile that can be customized along with the building. Chimney/entryway/tower are optional, and the tower can be built on its own.

It always surprises me that it still isn't very common. Curly hair textures might take a little more effort to learn to do convincingly, but painting dark skin has been as difficult as any other color. (Or you know, less difficult than GREEN? or purple?? Reference exists!)
