Outlines are never needed if you just imply shapes and lines. Also halftone shading is super aesthetic.

rigged and weight painted snuppy and gave him a dynamic outline (ignore the little lines around the eyes, that's just part of the wirefame since rendered view is super crusty). far from perfect and only good for posing, not animating-- still a fun challenge!!

Quick comic about Lisa's hair. I decided that everyone in the future has weird hair colours, so Lisa would be an outlier if her hair was a natural black. This solves everything!

Baked maps for Jiro. The outline effect was achieved by duplicating the mesh, inverting normals and applying an unlit material. A technique I learned from Frederic Arsenault -https://t.co/R0KRduBzBX and I think it looks awesome :D I'm excited to start painting!
