Honestly, it is not. I am sure you can do it. Find example of someones glass paining and try to copy it in your sketchbook + read some articles explaining basic physics of the light like highlights and reflex. You need to execute it once only and then you got it! Good luck!

I'm so happy with my style! I often saw people using these teardrop looking eyes on cute creatures and i really wanted to make it with my own style with heavy amounts of tiny details (if you look close enough) Plus that bubbly feeling to the drawing using the highlights i loved.

If you crank up the specular value, it turns the base color dark and we don't want that.

So, the trick is to connect the highlights to a file node and then just raise the exposure level up to a value of, say, 5 or so.

That way, you can have low specular values and this!

Last step is add some highlights, it's some minor detail but still make some improvement to the piece

The mayority of the highlights are whites or light colors but in the case of Red I put some brown in his dark hair

I wonder why GF constantly changes Red's hair color
