I wanted to spend the first day of the new year drawing, so yesterday I spent all day quietly working on this. It was so wonderful and has made me realise I need to try and prioritise drawing in 2021! I also went down a 80s jumper rabbit hole on Google, thoroughly recommend! ✨

Here’s some explorations and WIP screenshots of my New Year’s drawing, including reference from a picture I drew LITERALLY DAYS PRIOR because I apparently can’t retain my own artistic memory.

2020 was an awful year, but throughout the year I’d like to think I improved in a way that I wanted to with my art. These 4 pieces especially were ones I was pleased with.
I have no high hopes for next year, but creating more art will always be a priority for me!

This year was a heavy one, however I’ve been taking every opportunity to grow as an artist and work towards doing this full time. I started illustrating officially. I prioritized my mental health and my passion for making art, (1/2)

I also finished oil paintings for the first time this year! Prior to that I had only touched acrylics and watercolors but oils have become my one true love...

Murder Hydrant and Paper Bag are my fav still lives.

Some sketches from Jan/Feb. I found having a stream the same day -every- week (other than being sick/etc) helped me get a lot of work done, prioritize better, and just have overall steadier workflow. :)

While I will still stream weekly, I wanna focus this year on polished work!
