From the start of this project, I knew I didn’t want to go with a PBR approach since I really loved the nice 2D art look expressed in Max’s original concept & really wanted to capture that in my 3D rendition.
Ok, we joke about loudness wars and dynamics and stuff all the time but it's so difficult to gauge what is "too compressed" or just "industry standard" when every track I look at for reference looks like this
Meanwhile, @lacquerleaks has placed all the vocal tracks with the sound effects for Rupia's ending, we're just waiting on music to be finished. Everything is compressed and noise-reduced, but he'll need to fine-tune the volume levels.
