ok so like i swear i know SOME color theory but 1.) idk how to explain it succinctly and 2.) i ignore it a lot, so here is the best advice i can give on choosing colors 😭
the second pic is an example of "not changing hue, only value" vs "changing hue, value, and saturation"

After all, I still need to work with the near-space theme, bright colors are naturally visible, however, electronics and all sorts of mechanical elements should also somehow stand out.

Playing Fishing Simulator, now in Valentine's mode! THE WHOLE OCEAN IS PINK! I'm fishing on a friendly penguin boat with green and neutral colors that contrast nicely with surrounding warmer colors. Behind me is "Valentines Bae", a decorated return of the long-gone Watcher's Bay!
