Among all things IDW Sonic's Metal Virus arc offered, I really liked seeing Sonic genuinely fucking tired of everything and really mad.

Meet PALETTE!

Palette is an error in the games files. Sonic's color
palette for his sprite is swapped which is causing him
to act funny and do the complete opposite the original sonic would do. He's super optimistic hence why he's got a huge grin on his face.
