For me it was a combination of drawing inspiration from “anime knight” designs that had a hybrid of armour and formal clothing, making stuff up as I go and drawing inspiration from an old dragon drawing I drew in 2018 😊✨

Some people have asked me in the past what brush I use for painting. It is always this one hard airbrush I have slightly modified (hexagon shaped.) I use it for sketching, shading, smoothing, lighting - everything. There is no need for another brush. It works.
