@may_mayy97 It's personal way of drawing. If I don't have time, I paint black. When I have time, I paint the darkest areas with black and the rest with dark gray. And, I multiply the shadow color. Then If I add highlights, it somehow looks like that. Don't worry, you can use your intuition!

@tabakko ohh...I didn't really get this far to even think about adding shadows and playing around with layer settings that much (well I tried to apply them with I think multiply..its like propably my second digital art out of two that I wasn't totally too embarassed to put on twitter lol)
