Thought I'd show the different stages of my digital art. Coloring on this is pretty simplistic by the way. I tried to avoid blending as much as possible and just use flat, hard shading. Derpy expression inspired by Tsukasa from Tonikaku Kawaii (manga version)

6. Change color when changing value !!!

You should always be doing this when shading. It will make your coloring interesting even if the composition is bland. Don't be afraid to go a lil crazy w it too and experiment
