I'm wondering if I should draw Steven's chest hair different.

On the one hand, thicker hair forms the shape of her skull & crossbones easier, it's easier to draw, and makes her look more monkey-like, but I also feel like it doesn't look as good?

The Pressure Sensitivity can be a factor. It helps to create weight to the lines as example- the more pressure, the thicker and darker the line becomes, light pressure is thin and lighter. My older works had thin lines where now my lines are thicker. here's an examples.

pro tip: for rendering thicker clothing materials, run a soft thin line of highlights/shades along the seamlines. it's a bit tricky to get the hang of, but it adds a lot of dimension!
