@BirthOfHiphopNY @Station1DC @redfishstream Moors does not mean black. Moors is a very general term to refer to people of North Africa and/or of Muslim faith. There were black moors, but also iberian moors (people converted to islam), arab moors, etc. Here's a depiction of moors in Iberia.

There are certainly people that seem to have sub saharan African appearances, others that are simply dark skinned and others that are lighter skinned. The term 'moor' refers to a very diverse group.
