I love this character because he’s the epitome of the tragic hero. If he’s not fighting for something or someone he’s wallowing in self pity and booze. Trying to get himself killed is just a distraction from his own never ending existential existence.

Not really. At her absolute best, she barely uses contractions and has a fairly refined speech pattern without going full-on archaic.
