the lifegain card sucks though. but i think of it as similar to in mtg pauper how they'll occasionally sideboard things like this versus aggressive decks. they don't DO anything on the board but keep you from dying until your cards or engines or whatever work

I find occasionally putting your work in greyscale helps immensely in seeing the values. High contrast in values creates visual interest, which can be helpful in establishing focal point/mood. Take this work of mine for example, the lighter values in the eye create a focal point
