Mano's world is a post-world war wasteland and she was dying from exposure and close to jumping again, when he found her and helped her.
She managed to take him with her and they fell in love. 💕

So global corporate crop food that is problem and intensive animal farming only exists because of intensive crops. Look at this. The waste is huge and without pig feed its problem. Contrast with South Serbia sheep area. Sheep here at least 7 thousand yrs so too bear wolf & forest

Breath of the Wild's lack of memorable characters could have been easily fixed by removing most if not all the Champion flashbacks (nothing against them, but they're dead, so it's a waste) and giving us more time with Paya/Sidon/Kass/Riju, etc.
