Talking about BL, I recommend you guys to read Monotone Blue, YES I KNOW IT'S FURRY but it's worth it I swear. Story is not too heavy but still has some drama. The character design are pretty good, the artstyle??? I'm obsessed, I wish the story was longer tho😔

5. I'd be remiss if I didn't mention Bernie Wrightson, a master of the craft. The attention to detail, the contrast of heavy shadows and delicate lines, the juxtaposition of monstrosities being drawn beautifully. His is a work I continue to study and learn from.

2. Kelley Jones was the first artist I read and it immediately resonated with me. The heavy shadows, the exaggerated anatomy and monstrous figures are so captivating. I learned how to draw faces by blocking in the shadows like he does, and still use that.
