without going into specific claims about whether it is or isn't great representation (bc i'm coward girl and i don't want to get yelled at), i think what this whole thing highlights first and foremost is how deeply limited of a concept "representation" is in the first place

I took the liberty of removing the highlights from this Yamamuro's Goku. Major improvement in my opinion. A simple change but it does SO much for his current style. The way he draws is actually amazing to me, the highlights just ruin it. There is however a proper way to do them.
