It is revealed theres another room in the pit of failures, the one we saw in this Hollow Mind painting perhaps? We can see bones sticking out of two of the dirt piles, empty of any life. In the background we can see the infamous knife and also a rib cage we can assume is Caleb’s.

Belos has a secret opening to the pit we saw in King’s Tide. He crawls through the carcasses of different versions of his brother, where we catch a glimpse of some of the previous Golden Guards. Two of them the exact same ones we saw in Hollow Mind.
