Sequence OVA was a really pleasant surprise. While the general plot and some of the characters could use a little more fleshing out, it still proved to be an enthralling blend of time travel and reincarnation romance story, with pretty visuals and solid direction.

Actually, I really love this sequence too. There’s a satisfying weight to each movement. Gintoki and Hijikata struggle and then fling each other, Otae’s punch lingers on the impact, Sougo’s bazooka snaps in place before firing, Yamazaki winds up before serving, etc.
