Watched some Satoshi Kon movies and wanted to try a style that focuses more on realistic shading and 3D shapes and less on slapping Jojo lines everywhere, especially that SBR era of Araki's art also leaned more into that

I’ll use examples for mine so here we go:

Step 1: Apply basic outline of the art with the poses using a blue pencil

Step 2: Base Sketch

Step 3: Add Detail to sketch

Step 4: Ink with art pen

Step 5: Apply color shading

@sogolzmr Comic is in B&W, so I use a 14% black layer for the shading. Easy.
In colour, I’m experimenting. For the brunette, I just picked my colours. For the blond’s skin, dark base + lit parts in pink on an add layer with manual blurring of some edges, then a peachy layer on top to tint.
