it's insane how well the 3D character model and shadows and lighting blends in with the 2D images. And it still feels like 3D movement. This really is an amazing achievement of what you can do with prerendered backgrounds.

I always wanted a crane-like monster in the series, and we finally got one in the form of Aknosom! Although we didn't get to see much of it, I love all of its graceful movements so far, especially when it raises one of its legs after breathing fireballs.
