年周視差のGIFを作りました。
地球の公転運動によって1年周期で発生する星の見える方向の変化です。年周視差は地動説の証拠になると考えられていましたが、恒星が遠くにあるため、その変化があまりにも小さく、なかなか観測できませんでした。年周視差を初めて観測できたのは1830年代です。

1830年の12/5は英国の詩人クリスティーナ・ロセッティが生まれた日。代表作“ゴブリン・マーケット”は様々な画家が絵にしていますが、これはちょっと異色。1970年にエレン・ラスキンによって描かれた絵本です。
