The practice of exaggerating proportions like the hands and feet is a practice carried over from the 2D Sprite Days. It makes it easier to visually read characters animations/silhouettes. Looks weird in 3D cutscenes but helps gameplay tremendously.

Been enjoying replaying Metal Gear Solid 4, but those cutscenes.

It's not that there's loads. It's that loads *of* it are people having quiet, long, boring conversations, with a more po-faced tone that makes it duller than previous games.

The Beasts are still amazing though.

Age of Calamity, exclusive for the Switch. It has a really cool Zelda story, but the gameplay might be for a very niche audience. I recommend you at least watch the cutscenes.
