When a client approves the sketch, approves half the lineart, they get the nearly completed, lined and colored piece and want part of it completely redrawn when they could have asked for it to be changed AS A SKETCH.
Please don't do this to artists you commission.

Also look at other artists' art, see what u like the most about their style (the way they draw the eyes, lineart, coloring) and make it your own. Sometimes a combination of other artists style can become your own. I honestly don't know my artstyle, I just look at other artists.
