So I've made this and I have no idea how to shade. I tried many things. I'm stuck since a week. I don't want to give up but it's so frustrating. Feels like I've wasted a good drawing, like many others. I don't know what to do. I hate drawing.

instead of going for a darker shade, how about moving the colour circle more towards red? i do this with my artworks. it gives off a softer look to the shade.
