The “horn” is actually a canine tooth (tusk). All males have them and a small percentage of them grow two. About 15% of females grow a tusk but only one is known to have grown two.

Cabe destacar que su nombre en japonés es en katakana, y la etimología Tusk, del inglés significa colmillo, los colmillos sirven más como defensa que como ataque.
