Working on some OC's, an existing one and a new one. There's one more for them to be a sweet trio.

Getting them ready for when I include them in other things in my brain.

Practicing working with silhouettes, so far it seems to be helping haha.

But the references extend past the figures! For the far background, I referenced several other illustrations using the widow-effect of many Mucha illustrations. Most of them used silhouettes that hinted at a place, so I did that!

First and most obvious, they cast very similar silhouettes, being tall slender figures with two pairs of wings on their backs and head, and they have the same primary colour scheme of green and pink, though with different shades and saturation.

My afternoon doodling has led me to try some character design silhouettes. Can't wait to see how much more I can develop her by tomorrow :)

Not sure why you'd need these versions, but I like the silhouettes

I thought it would be helpful to show these real silhouettes next to my tutorial.

Here are some examples of how I use this technique in my art. Characters are the focus in these so the leaves are subtle and soft, easily read, it saves a lot of time, and they still look nice.
