This gave us some pretty great variations on the original alien, so we upscaled a few of these and kept going, this time tweaking the prompt further.

We tried adding modifiers like "froglike", "sharklike", "catlike", and "insectoid"

Apologies for plugging but I kinda wanted to illustrate the point.

I honestly feel like its a good thing to have a reliable set of brushes, but it is limiting in practice. I find that to truly be flexible you must be willing to tweak little things on your tools. 1/2

also the eyes on this oru didn't come out as warm and smiley as the sketch despite not erasing it... i must have tried to tweak the size of them, there's too much space under the irises in the coloured one...
it also got the "random hue shift" curse but i was more careful lol

first piece of 2023..... technically a piece from last year that was mostly done, save a couple of spots that needed touching up + the finishing tweaks, but hey. i'll take my wins where i can :')

Alright!! I got the model done up to a good enough point to make a new PNG!! There will still be some small tweaks in preparation for rigging but overall im just glad that it all has some together!! ^^
