@FloppyDeepDive I thought the barbarians looked a little 'odd' compared to other C64 fighting games, but I couldn't quite put my finger on why. Not until Zzap!64 pointed out that you could connect the pins at the back to try to reset, and the figures would stay frozen on screen. Ah! Not sprites!

@chaomix That being said I'm iffy on comparing a transition like this to "Classic -> Adventure". There were pretty significant changes done to the design compared to "Adventure -> Modern"

Birthday Noa 2020 vs 2021~
Different mediums and one day vs one week, so they can't be directly compared, but I definitely couldn't have made something like this in one week a year ago. I still think the old one's cute though
@chaomix I think the best way to go about this would be to compare the former style with more recent 2D illustrations by the same artist. Personally I feel it's more of a gradual refinement of the same style, rather than a deliberate redesign.
