Ich brauchte eine Lockerungsübung. Es sollte irgendwann sowas wie ein Chibi werden, aber die Proportionen sind nicht extrem genug. Ich finde sie süß :)

The left side will draw the apple piece-by-piece, separating parts of it into symbols and assuming it knows everything, which produces something that still looks like the apple, but is primitive, inaccurate and out of proportion

This is my day, fixing the most obvious wtf moments of disproportion from when I was still getting used to Clip lol.

In DMC 1-4 the characters had very statuesque proportions. Dante & friends read like they're normal human size, but they're actually over 8 heads tall and proportioned like NBA players. DMCV characters have realistic proportions so they feel like cosplayers compared to past games

also with the generic head base I can essentially play around with the features and block out different proportions

Ya I really need to fix the proportions, I will do it after school cya

Always cute to see dog waifu get frustrated.
Really happy with proportions on this one.

A Sebastian attempt....I've been trying to draw on a larger scale canvas but I think it's effecting how I see proportions....that might be part of the reason I've had trouble drawing lately....

This was the cover for something?

(Rendering that monkeys tongue was the most obsessive I ever got with a piece. Also...I wish I had taken more chances with HBs proportions.)

Seems fun! Old: Roughly from 2014 when I first got my wacom intuos and just jumped in. Middle: 2016, learned about lineart, color theory and correct proportions. New: 2019. Experimenting with different lighting setups! Onward!

Did you know that the creeper originated as a misproportioned pig, and I am a creature of impulse?

Couple process images and a zoom in on his face since twitter loves to smoosh my pixels.
Some of the warmup sketches were helpful purely to calibrate my brain to his shapes and proportions (even if it’s just a “oh nope not that”)

2009 - 2014 - 2019 comparison
Idk about improvement but I hella sure, the body proportion is one of things I improve

2008: Back then I still used to sketch on paper and scan it to color. I didn't have a good concept for muscle anatomy back then.
2015: Was so into the orc armors and axes. Started to get the hang of musculature.
2018: Started to simply a bit and beef up muscle proportions.

2007- i was really into overdetailed psychadelic things and learning about anatomy/proportions
2012- starting to get more into digital art and shapes
2018/9- one of my fav latest pieces

"Who's a good doggy? Who's a good boy?!"
.
Lighting is done in order: Night, afternoon, and sunset (not referring to the time of day, just color wise)
(Proportions on the dog are exaggerated bc it's a nightmare duh)

Gonna be trying really hard to practice consistancy in my characters proportions.

a few examples down below are all images of the same character, but the facial structure and body type are slightly different. its especially clear with the last two.

Forever my favorite version of Bowser, Yoiichi Kotabe was a master of appeal. These color palettes and proportions just make him look so much more badass and intimidating, while still being cartoony and vulnerable as Bowser truly is <3
