2023 marks the 10 year anniversary of NAT the MERC being published in done in 2012, published in 2013.

NAT was first created in 2009 for a movie college project with some big name producers & decided to make it a comicbook when approached to be part of ZIDARA 9 .

I drew a reference for samurai and torite(ancient Japanese officers) for myself. I've been talking about it with my friends that we don't really know how they look like, so I decided to draw. It's based on one reference so this may not always be the case.

In Joys earliest concept designs, I had her with a pink clown nose and thick tear tracks. I decided it looked a bit too goofy and made the tear tracks thinner so her expressions read better, got rid of the nose so she looked more like Charons species

I printed out this art to put on my bulletin board at work, and despite my best efforts to hurry, the printer decided to spit out another copy, and somebody put it in the pickup tray 😳😳😳 at least it was just one page!! But still!
