When I saw how much action there was in the story, I really wanted to see more deep dramatic blacks and intense colour contrast to feel the thick and evil tension in some scenes. The colour palette sometimes feels like a limitation to convey the seriousness.

I hope this isn’t rude to apply a filter, because I love your work, but I love how Corliss pops out in black and white. The red is kind of distracting in the colour version, and draws your eye to Snow because of her dress.

basically its just indepth shading etc. when you're rendering a drawing, you're building in the shadows and the colours as well as reflective lighting and the general lighting etc!!
