Got an ask on Tumblr about sketching and I thought that might be useful here, too! My sketches are usually super quick and gestural. All I'm trying to get down when I do them is the basic movement of the piece. Most of the actual details I save for when I start inking (1/2)

Colors for yesterday's Spider-Man piece. I am very much torn between two styles of coloring: All flats (think Mignola / Stewart) or soft gradients (think Kelley Jones).
