In these articles I wrote about the idea of 'being made of meat' - the notion that heritages feel like they should be grounded and not like, deal with magic as fundamentally part of their origin.

Basically, I think of 'meat cultures' as byproducts of actual evolution

It’s actually very cool to see that many cultures share common symbolism through color and shapes

Big Part of design for this outfit was around Sun and Duality, which was based on Slavic Paganism and Buddhism.

Turns out Thai and Philippine also have them

Returning to my reflection here on the fleeting nature of ethnicities and cultures, another example of this general impermanence is with states.

We tend to perceive the borders of modern nation-states as God-given facts, but in truth, countries have and do vanish in a fortnight https://t.co/XBq5uUmh1V

The "Artifacts, Etc." chapter of our In Media Res scenario book has PCs discovering that an old movie studio's "prop" artifacts were the genuine deal, and tasks them with returning the artifacts to their home cultures. :)

Also it’s just nice to see more diversity in anime. Cecil has a rich culture & as a lover of learning & appreciating different cultures Cecil is so refreshing. He makes me feel seen whenever I speak of my own heritage. I’m happy he exists & shares/loves both of his cultures🥺💚

Have nothing to do over the holidays? Why not work on learning that language like you always said you wanted to? :P

I run a Furry Language Exchange discord, check it out if you're interested in learning about other languages/cultures or sharing your own!

I'm in the process of writing a dark fantasy book in thied pov. A world where the sun is shining weaker and weaker. My races, creatures and cultures, monsters, a bit of magic, fights and battles, dragons (kinda), journey, swords, spears, some focus on the character's 'psychology'
