Yeah!! I use a lot of effects all the time! I use glow for magic and fire a lot, but more than that I add in a lot of extra lines to express action. It’s usually to get the right mood across. My favorite ones to do, though, are between panels to show teleportation magic.

The biggest choice in Chrono Cross... Hmm...Glenn or DeltaForce... On a first playthrough, I'd save Kid. Razzly does FAR higher magic damage, and Magic is going to be your main damage anyway when your gear is iron, silver, etc.
