Today hasn’t been great, but I woulda been pissed at myself if I didn’t at least try to draw, so i practiced some value landscapes. It sorta became fun?? Haha, i guess it will be when I can do my own compositions. But I’m happy with these!

Called the 'Mother of American Modernism', O'Keeffe is one of the most famous female artists in the world, certainly one of the best known, her paintings fetch large prices. She painted flowers and landscapes.
This late watercolour by Paul Nash was drawn in the early 1940’s, at a time when Nash seems to have preferred watercolour to oil for his landscapes. From 1938 his pictures become increasingly relaxed, he worked more in terms of tonal gradation and intensity of colour.

Some animalistic vibes between all the landscapes. Again playing with contrast of saturation, it’s very satisfying to pull back most of a painting and then create small islands of really intense colour. Painted in #Heavypaint.
