Studies through out my mentorship.
At week one I took the two value studies a little to seriously. Then I learned to let go and concetrate on the big shapes.
At week 3 I got my first taste of really breaking down values which still continues!

I spent the day making blendshapes. Took a few mins to make a cute render...I don't do them much so it's kinda scuff.
Some early variations, playing around with small changes in design and shapes. The monochrome versions have a certain style and look that I want to revisit.

You really need to find your characters 3D shapes.
Once you do that, you can pretty much draw them in any position you want.
