All the layers of early 2K internet memes aside, Azumanga Daioh is a genre-making highschool slice-of-life that was memorable in a myriad of little ways. Personally, its bizarre yet somehow quaint energy saw me through a dark spot of my life, and I'll always be grateful for it.
