Rethinking colors. A bit more desaturated brown for the hair and dark markings feels more natural. Nothing set in stone.

A great composition study by Callie Barfield for our Intro to Digital Painting Workshop! The underlying value structure is working well, and the lighting feels very natural. Great example of reducing detail to the essential elements.

And my part of the Mythoverse is Mythics, a mature urban fantasy drawn by , it's about a mythic by the name of Elthia Fletcher, and she travels the country taking on jobs involving the supernatural. Some will end in violence, some will not.

Q1 Loooove Supernatural. Above the Clouds is more fantasy, but as a huge Star Trek fan I love stories that make us think beyond our own world.

Stories that makes us feel like we're looking in on our own world and help us question the impact we have on it.

For November's Mike Dougherty drew a cartoony dog pawing mud off himself. The triad of warm, rustic colors inspired him to draw something earthy and natural.

Day 60 - On S3E3 of Supernatural and I just saw Maggie from the Walking Dead! I really like Supernatural. I avoided watching it because I don't like seeing scary crap by myself but it's kinda like Buffy.

This is another drawing I got from as a birthday gift! I think this is the best example of Ell's hair so that it looks good and recognisable, but still natural. I use it a lot of references now, haha.

Day 2 chibi manga promarkers days 1 & 2. This one is a bit streaky wish I’d left the lips natural. Pink tint I was going for bled too far -red lips it is & lilac hair just coz husband said so 😆 I like it. It’s different.

Swelling into a blueberry when one knows its permanent but it also feels good, right and natural. Good thing my wardrobe choice is holding together so well and befitting of the moment.

A few digital paintings I finished in the last week or so; the first is of Lemony Snicket's Count Olaf (A Series of Unfortunate Events), the second is of Crowley from Eric Kripke's Supernatural. I only own the art!~

I got into Calvin and Hobbes young enough that it was always "well, of course comics can do this, it's only natural."

But then Watterson's writing got me into Krazy Kat, and whoo boy, THAT was a revelation. A whole other world opened up.
