The Walnut Tree Railway Viaduct was built by the Barry Railway in 1901 to transport coal from the Rhymney Valley to the new Dock at Barry. The last train to the quarry ran over the viaduct in 1967. The viaduct was deconstructed in 1969.

This is Maxwell. He's an 0-4-0 Quarry Hunslet who worked for the Dinorwic Slate Quarry before being sold to a coal mine. There he worked until it closed down and he was abandoned. Then, several years later he was found by my OC Jordan who restored him and brought him to the SKR.
