Ziet er een stuk gezonder uit dan die van uit 1633.

The Morgan holds impressions of most of the three hundred or so known etchings by Rembrandt, as well as multiple, often exceedingly rare impressions of various states. Browse here: https://t.co/KclvhDi4M1

"Storm on the Sea of Galilee" is Rembrandt's only known seascape.
It was stolen in 1990 from the Gardner Museum in Boston with a number of other paintings, and has never been recovered.

What an incredible painting...

None of the 13 pieces of stolen art have been recovered. $500m worth of Flinck, Vermeer, Manet, Rembrandt, Degas - just gone.

This is an appreciation post for who brought my TTRPG character to life with a style reminiscent of Rembrandt that would fit perfectly in the game world.

Painting at Bedtime.
Noli Me Tangere.
Rembrandt.

According to the Bible the first person the resurrected Jesus spoke to was Mary Magdalene. He said 'Noli me Tangere' ('Do not touch me', or possibly 'Do not cling to me'). Thus Mary was the first witness to the resurrection.

Easter Sunday. Mary Magdalene's big day! She's the first one to see the Risen Christ. But doesn't recognise him, and mistakes him for a gardener. Art has had lots of fun depicting Christ the gardener! Rembrandt gave him a floppy hat. Fra Angelico a hoe. Also a few spades. 1/
