Interestingly, even after spending more time using pure paint as opposed to my initial technique of starting with grayscale and converting to color, the results are alarmingly similar save for better control over colors and natural brush textures. What do you think though?

Needed to draw this handsome boy and I'm so glad that this is doing him justice in my opinion. Kinda cheating by using brush marks as placeholder for his demon halo ring. Still more work to do on this.
