More likely is because current art is so "on-shape" and less "dynamic", older art shows how much experiments were done with the artstyle until it evolved to what currently is used, just like how Yuji Uekawa's style evolved when drawing sonic, that's the only example I can give

Ha! Great challenge! I've definitely got 5 "uniques" going using the "multi-subject-render" extension. But when it goes through the merge phase it tends to normalize all the eye colors and genders. So I don't think that's what's Theo is using. Think it's the SD Photoshop plugin.
