This year's been a great one when it comes to backgrounds. I tried to challenge myself by adding backgrounds more often since they're something I've struggled with for quite a while now. And my motivation's been kept up by all these wonderful lombaxes. 🥰

A year ago today I made my first ever dsmp fanart (left) and looking back at it now, I hate it😅 but I’m so happy I kept going and found my own style and improved! This community is awesome and was a huge source of motivation and inspiration for me and I’m so thankful <33
My only real regret is focusing too much on digital paintings off of images. I kept a very consistent journal of pencil life sketches for the first half of the year but an ill-timed lockdown killed a lot of that push and birthed my digital push. More in life drawings too.
I apologize for the lack of art within the past 5 months. College has kept me really occupied and I've just been busy in general. I have also been trying to develop a new coloring style upon discovering about layer effects. Here are some WIPs I had for a while in the meantime

I actually finished this 11pm christmas day, because I remember not wanting to leave Oliver out, lol. It just slipped my mind I guess. Coloring him was a nightmare because his color palette is so warm it kept fighting with the snow.
