I woke up to a surprise this evening that my mother had drawn me a little Nikos! I loved it so much that I had to make it into something I could color (I love coloring). So I lined & colored it (3rd pic)! I'm glad I was able to keep the textures she had bc I love them & my mom.❤️

Apparel/armor wise, I looked at people who live in the some of the same areas where these birds live (bee eaters have an enormous range) and tried to utilize similar materials & textures that might be used (wood armor instead of leather, woven fabrics etc).

What you see in the video is point cloud in a 3D environment with some FX. We had a version with textures but it pushed the PC to its limit! We also made a volumetric art documentary project using Kinect with cine film textures, that was a challenge! Both projects were pure R&D.
