Why does old-school D&D art seem more appealing than modern 3E+ D&D art? I think it has to do with the fact that it seems historical. Not accurate of course, but the kind of verisimilitude one might expect from say, Tolkien. This grants it authenticity and charm. 1/2

Sword's accent is alright, but Blade sounds INCOMPREHENSIBLE... which is 100% accurate, actually! 👍
