It can be easy to slip into that mentality when you compare yourselves to others around you, but art can continue to improve at any age! I drew the left three years ago and past me would've been shocked to see my art today :) https://t.co/gxCPLAT1zy
I’ve been seeing a lot of “If you’re not good at art by 16, quit” rhetoric going around, and I’m just here to casually remind y’all that the first was done when I was 14.
Practice takes time!! You’re not “behind” because of your age!! Improvement takes YEARS and that’s okay!!
shut the fuck up, you can become good at anything at any age if you allow yourself to grow.
i drew this when i was 20. TWENTY. and guess what? IT LOOKS LIKE SHIT NOW. all you need is perseverance, not god given talent https://t.co/qhKrrDbSgg
@Random_Blorper okay, im way younger than 16 but its not about age at ALL. its all about improvement!! the more u draw, the more u improve. take my art as an example. i started digital art last year.
october 2021 vs june 2022. see? just draw a lot, even small doodles every day and youll see!

At what age do I finally spin a cocoon only to reemerge as the beautiful & terrifying moth(wo)man I was always destined to be?
Honestly this so much. As i’m going to throw this on here. This is what my art looked like when i was in that age range(2005-2006). And my art now. Art is a journey. It’s hard yes but gods please do NOT give up. https://t.co/9LV1avqM0G
Day 6 of 10 days art challenge ✨
I still have to master the tarot card style but I like these pieces. It is supposed to represent Alistair at the beginning of his reign and 10 years later, during Dragon Age Inquisition
My art at 16, 26 and 32.
It actually makes me excited to think about how it will look like in a few years!
It's the awesome part that it keeps evolving, and is not actually dependent on age, but the effort and care one puts in.
my art in 2018 vs my art now
anybody can draw, no matter the age . and what matters isnt the skill level, its the process
I've started my art career at age 16. And I'm actually good at it when I was 16 and 17. I don't give up on art, and I continue to develop as time goes on.
These are the four drawings I did when I was between 16 and 17.

@chelseakenna Age 17 I drew tons of stuff I loved and enjoyed before I got bitch-slapped with depression. This mindset was the major motivating factor behind my artist's block. Threw myself into art classes, practiced... in order: 2007 (16), 2008 (17), 2014 (24), 2022 (31)
I don't even know if I have any art from that age because I was playing WoW 16 hours a day, but let me tell you I sucked at drawing until about 5 years ago?
First two are 2013, when I was in college, somewhere around 21? Second two are this year, at 30, finally finding a stride. https://t.co/6RmsHd4pmE
